Lot Description

Victorian silver mug the body of waisted form with embossed fruiting panels alternating with acanthus leaf scrolls and vacant cartouche, scrolling handle and raised above a lobed spread foot. Hallmarked London 1859, the maker probably Robert Harper. Maximum height measuring 4 1/4 inches (11 cm), weight 5.8 ozt (181 grams).

The Victorian mug although very heavily tarnished appears in good condition and displays general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. The hallmarks are clear and legible, the first letter of the makers' mark is almost completely illegible.
