Lot 190

Lot Description

A small continental cup of flared form, decorated with a continuous panel depicting a woodland scene with a hunter and a stag, with gilded borders and interior.  The underside struck with various marks, 'PWH' in a rectangular punch, 'x2', a bunch of grapes (?) and one further mark.  Height 7cm, weight 21 grams.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The cup displays general wear commensurate with the age.  There is a little bit of tarnishing and various surface marks and scratches and some slight loss of detail to the decoration.  There also appears to be a repair to one side, which has obviously caused some damage to the decoration.  The struck marks to the underside are clear.
