Lot Description
A matched set of 1930's silver handled cake knives and forks, all in a fitted velvet lined case. Forks hallmarked John Biggin, Sheffield 1938, the knives hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1939.

Condition Report
All pieces display some tarnishing and general wear commensurate with the age and use. There are general surface marks and scratches and also various small nicks and dints to the handles. On one of the forks, one of the prongs is slightly bent and on two of the forks there is now a slight gap at the join of the handle to the fork. The knife handles are in similar condition, some displaying more dints than others and one of the handles is now loose. Hallmarks are rubbed but all are still legible. The case displays some wear and deterioration.
