Lot Description
George II silver open salt of cauldron form and raised above three mounted hoof feet, hallmarked London 1746. Together with a pair of 1920's silver open salts of oval form blue glass liners and raised above four paw feet, hallmarked E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley) Birmingham 1921. Gross silver weight 2.9 ozt (90 grams).

Condition Report
The open salts display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A number of minor shallow dents visible to the George II example, remnants of a personal engraving visible. The hallmarks to the George II example are well worn and possibly difficult to read, makers mark illegible. Minor small chips visible to the edge of the blue glass liners, the hallmarks to the pair of open salts are clear and legible.
