Lot Description

A pair of Victorian silver knife rests each raised above mounted paw feet. Hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason Birmingham 1894. Length of each measuring 3 inches (8 cm), gross combined weight 1.2 ozt (39 grams).

The knife rests display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The central bars display a little distortion. To one of the pair there is some deterioration of the seams of the end pieces/feet, small holes visible. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
