Lot Description

Two early Victorian silver dessert spoons, each Fiddle pattern with different engraved initials to the terminal.  Hallmarked Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, one London 1840, and the other London 1845.  Gross combined weight 2.87 ozt (89.3 grams).

The dessert spoons display some obvious wear and tear with scratches, marks and heavy tarnishing. Noticeable wear to the edge rim. Dints visible to the bowls. Rubbing to the definition of the heel. Slight flattening to the back of the bowl to one. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
