Lot Description

George III Irish silver soup ladle made by John Osborne with bright cut engraved Celtic point, crested. The Dublin origin mark of the crowned harp just visible. Length measuring 14 inches (36 cm), weight 6.6 ozt (205 grams).

The soup ladle does display general wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. The curved line of the handle does show some dents, the bowl also displays numerous shallow dents. The makers mark is clear and legible, as mentioned in the description the crowned harp is just visible, very rubbed, possible remnants of a further mark just visible.
