Lot Description

Edwardian silver set of five shell bowl teaspoons and matching sugar nips, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd Sheffield 1906. Together with a matched set of six early twentieth century silver teaspoons with beaded border hallmarked Wilmot Manufacturing Co Birmingham 1927/29/31/37. Gross weight 5.9 ozt (186 grams).

Both sets of teaspoons appear in good overall condition and display general light scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hallmarks to the Edwardian set are clear and legible, slightly rubbed in areas to the later set. The Edwardian set have a further larger distorted mark to each piece, possibly a retailer? No visible personal engravings.
