Lot Description

Edwardian silver dual vesta and sovereign case of plain rectangular form. Hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd Birmingham 1902. Measuring 65mm by 30 mm, weight 1.4 ozt (44 grams).

The case appears in very good condition, it does display general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  A few minor shallow dints visible. The hinges and press release are in excellent condition. The interior of the sovereign case has been gilded, this has now heavily tarnished, the interior of the vesta also heavily tarnished. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
