Lot Description

Victorian silver mounted glass claret jug, the main body wrythen moulded and of flat oval form, with cylindrical panelled neck leading to silver collar with hinged lid and spout and angular silver handle.  Hallmarked Blunt, Wray & Co., London 1890.  Height measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5cm).

The claret jug appears in good overall condition, there are general scratches, marks and wear and commensurate with the age and use. The silver mounts are noticeably tarnished. The hallmarks are lightly distorted but easily legible and clear.
