Lot Description
A late Victorian silver mounted scent bottle modelled as a cracked walnut shell with the walnut partly visible, with silver screw on lid. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co., London 1885, with registered mark to the main body 26170. Height measuring 5.5cm.

Condition Report
The item displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. The screw on lid has several evident dints to the bun top and there is also some tarnishing. The hallmarks on the lid are rubbed but still legible. The registration number is on the lower part of the walnut shell body. There are minor surface marks and scratches and crazing to the walnut shell and there is also a large chip to the underside, right next to the registration mark.
