Condition Report
The case displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some visible scratches on the shield cartouche. There is also some tarnishing, especially around the edges. There are some dints to the main body and some wear and rubbing to the embossed decoration in places. The hinge is a little bit loose but still in good working order so that the lid closes properly. There are contact marks to the inner rim. Hallmarks and maker's marks are still clear and legible.
