George III Irish silver sauce boat of classic form, engraved crest, scrolling leaf capped handle and raised above three shell mounted hoof feet, scratched initials to the underside. Hallmarked Matthew West Dublin, date letter illegible. Height including handle 4 inches (10 cm), weight 5.8 ozt (182 grams).

The sauce boat displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Imprints of the feet visible to the interior. The crowned harp and figure of Hibernia clearly legible, maker's mark partly rubbed and date letter completely illegible.
