Condition Report
The vesta case displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The scratches are deeper and more evident on the reverse of the case around the monogram, and there are also various other darker patches or tarnishing and some nicks/dints in the metal. The decoration to the front is generally okay with some slight wear to the turtle and figure, there are traces of gilding visible which suggests that some areas originally had more gilding. There is some wear and small nicks to the edges and especially the corners of the case. The hinge is in good working order and the hallmarks are clear and legible.
