Lot Description

Late Victorian silver vesta case, the front bright cut engraved with scrolling foliage around a circular cartouche, with further engraved foliate motifs to the reverse.  Hallmarked Adie & Lovekin Ltd., Birmingham 1897.  Measuring 4cm by 2.5cm, weight 13.8 grams.

The vesta case displays general wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. There are some shallow dints to the body. The hinge is in good working order. Circular vacant cartouche. The suspension ring is bent. The hallmarked are clear and legible.
