Lot Description

A 1930's silver bun top caster, hallmarked A L Davenport Ltd Birmingham 1932, height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm). Together with a modern small silver caster of shaped octagonal form, hallmarked London 1978 with the sponsors mark JAC, height measuring 4 inches (10 cm). Gross combined weight 3.7 ozt (117 grams).

Both casters/peppers display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The bun top pepper example displays some dints and bumps. Remnants of old polish visible to the modern example. the hallmarks are clear and legible.
