George V silver pair of open salts of cauldron form, flared frilled lip, hallmarked Birmingham 1912. Together with a similar Edwardian pair of silver open salts, hallmarked Birmingham 1906. Gross combined weight 2.5 ozt (78.5 grams).

The open slats display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. The earlier Edwardian pair display significant denting and repairs to one salt, the hallmarks to the Edwardian pair are significantly rubbed, the maker's mark looks to be J.G. The later pair display a few dints, heavily tarnished and the hallmarks clear and legible, the maker's mark reads G.N over R.H.
