Lot Description

Pair of early twentieth century silver mounted candlesticks of tapered form, reeded bands and raised above a circular foot with personal initial engraving, loaded. Hallmarked S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd Birmingham 1918.  Height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm).

The candlesticks display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. The candlesticks also display more obvious signs of wear with dents and creases to the silver, particularly around the base and rims. Splits to the silver also visible around the rim of one stick. The hallmarks are rubbed but legible. The initial engraving reads 'D.H'
