Lot Description
A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial having bold black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, outer minute track, the round case with milled band, engine turned design to rear and engraved cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1872, fitted with a full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 54mm.

Open faced pocket watch, key wind manual movement is not currently functioning, dial has a visible crack, subsidiary seconds dial is not sitting against the rest of the dial correctly, dial also shows some marks, hands have small marks, glass also shows marks, case has scratches and marks as a result of general use, case shows tarnishing, back of the case has wear to the engine turned decoration, inner back cover has significant scratching to obscure a engraved inscription however a date is still visible, hinges show wear to the corners.
