Lot Description
A Victorian silver key wind pair case pocket watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers bordered by a minute track, the plain cases, hallmarked Birmingham 1861, makers mark possibly R&S, fitted with an unsigned gilt full plate fusee and chain movement, with verge escapement, undersprung balance and pierced balance cock. Case diameter 53mm.

Silver key wind Victorian pair case pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, there is some signs of repair to the balance cock, the hour hand is missing, dial has some hairline cracks running out from the centre and some chips to the edges, the glass is filthy with some very light scratches, the inner case possesses a variety of scratches, marks and tarnishing with some evidence of light pitting and wear to the case lip and hinge, outer case is in a similar state, it does not close properly and the button is very stiff. Bow may be a replacement.
