A garnet brooch. Of cartouche-shape outline, the oval garnet cabochon in a closed back setting to the scrolling openwork surround. Unmarked with regard to metal purity. Length 3.3cms. Weight 4.2gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair, with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The cabochon cut garnet is red to orange in hue, medium to light in tone, the condition is fair with surface scratches and nibbles to top. Some wear to reverse, with smal nicks to scrolling openwork. Clasp pin in working order.
