A 19th century hardstone cameo pendant, circa 1860. Of oval outline, carved to depict Dionysus, God of wine, within a circular sardonyx cabochon and split seed pearl surround. AF. Length 6.1cms.

Overall condition fair, with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear, three hair line fractures running through, from top left to bottom right and corner right of sardonyx.  Cameo loose in setting. Slight discolouration to scroll surround. Split pearls are well matched and in good condition.
