A late 19th century garnet brooch, circa 1890. The oval-shape garnet cabochon to the canetille surround with vacant panel to the reverse. Length 3.2cms. Unmarked. Weight 11.3gms.

Overall condition good, with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear and age of piece. The cabochon garnet is in good condition with very minor nibbles, slight wear, to surrounding setting around garnet. Item unmarked with regard to metal purity.
