An Arts and Crafts mother-of-pearl and opal doublet necklace, circa 1910. Of foliate design, the marquise-shape opal doublet to the openwork surmount with further opal detail, suspending a mother-of-pearl and pear-shape opal doublet drop. Length 40cms. Weight 8.6gms.

Condition Report
The pendant is in overall good condition. The opal doublet drop is cracked. Several of the opals are opal doublets. Some may have been replaced. They do not match well. All settings will need attention to check the security of the stones. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear.
Maker believed to be Lorenzo Headley, a member of the Birmingham Arts and Crafts association.
