Lot Description
A mid Victorian brooch, circa 1860. Of oval outline, the central dome within a foliate and bead surround. Unmarked with regard to metal purity. Length 4.6cms.Weight 17.12gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall fair condition. There are visible scratches to the dome and also to the outer detail, some of the beads are dented. The outer edging to the spaced leaves are bent and one has a crack to the metal. There are slight scratches and areas of discolouration to the back rim, the card to the back of the glass is dirty and ripped, a panel has been added where the hinge has been reattached. Acid tests as gold.
