A mid Victorian diamond brooch, circa 1870. Of oval outline, the old European-cut diamond within a scalloped surround. Unmarked with regard to metal purity. Length 3.8cms. Weight 10.05gms.

The brooch is in overall good condition. The diamond is bright and lively. No obvious dents or bruising can be seen. Holes can be seen to the border of the brooch where the metal has worn thin. Tarnish, scratches and scuffs are present, general wear.
