A late 19th century emerald and diamond salamander brooch, circa 1880. The circular-shape emerald body within a diamond point surround to the circular ruby cabochon eyes. Unmarked with regard to metal purity. Length 6.19gms. Weight 6.18gms.

Overall good to fair condition, minor surface wear in keeping with general wear of piece. Emeralds appear well matched, in fair condition with some nibbles to some stones. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Diamonds appear fairly bright and well matched.
