ROLEX - a stainless steel manual wind chronograph gentleman's "Paul Newman" Cosmograph Daytona bracelet watch circa 1969, the "exotic" three colour dial having sunken cream subsidiary dials to three, six and nine o'clock set into a black face, surrounded by a cream chapter ring having hourly black block markers alongside a red minute track, tachymeter bezel, the tonneau shaped case, model number 6262, reference number 2533340, with personal engraving to back, fitted to a riveted steel link 6635 bracelet with folding clasp, signed seventeen jewel calibre 727 column wheel chronograph movement. Case width 36mm. With service documentation from Rolex describing the watch as possessing a "Paul Newman dial".

Rolex bracelet watch, manual wind chronograph movement is currently functioning, dial looks to be in a generally good condition, with some light wear to the paint on the right hand edge, some light marks to the subsidiary seconds dial and what appear to be a few spots of an oily residue to the top right quarter, the hands show marks commensurate with age, again possessing some oily residue and wear to the edges of the black paint - particularly to the edge of centre seconds hand "arrow head", glass has light scratches, case has some negligible light marks and scratches, back of the case has a personal inscription, inside of case back numbered 6239, riveted bracelet is heavily worn, several of the expandable links, especially to the twelve o'clock side are distorted and have failed, it is also scuffed and scratched. Bracelet measures 19cm including case.
Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this watch be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water, due to the age it will not withstand immersion in water.
