Lot Description

An early 20th century Phillip Harris & Co. of Birmingham brass and black painted weather station stick barometer. The silvered scale with black divisions, makers details and No. 951, enclosed by a cylindrical glass tube above a cylindrical body fitted with temperature scale and glazed mercury filled reservoir. The whole upon an oak plaque within a black panted glazed case, enclosed by a glazed hinged door. 43.75" (111cm) height

Glazed case paint badly scratched in many places, some minor damage to bottom of door. Brass appears to be lacquered this has discoloured. Some marks to black painted finish, silver scale shows scratches and wear. Mercury does not reach level of scale, possibly needs re-calibrating?
