Lot Description

An Edwardian 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. The graduated oval-shape rubies within old-cut diamond spacers to the plain band. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1901.  Weight 5.3gms.

The ring is in overall good to fair condition. The rubies have a deep red to purplish red hue with even colour saturation. Abrasion can be seen to the facet edges. One diamond is heavily chipped/broken, however the diamonds are bright and lively. Dark inclusions can be seen within most diamonds. The hallmark is clear. All stones appear secure, however all setting will need attention, general maintenance. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, in keeping with age.
