An opal, emerald and diamond insect brooch. The oval-shape opal and emerald body to the rose-cut diamond wings. Unhallmarked. Length 5.5cms. Weight 12.6gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair, with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The rose cut diamond wings appear in fair condition showing natural uneven cuts, some with more surface abrasion. The oval-shaped emerald is in fair condition showing typical inclusions which partially affect the passage of light through the stone. The opal has a good play of colour, showing blue, green and pink, a flat patch can be seen to middle to top area of stone, some wear/chipping can be seen to the reverse of the opal, with a hairline mark running across the back.
