The brooch is in overall good condition. The rubies are of a pink/red hue, some appear hazy with easily visible broken rutile inclusions. Some of the inclusions are nearly surface reaching and one of the rubies is chipped. There is slight abrasion to the facet edges of the rubies visible with magnification. The diamonds are fairly bright, some drawing a percentage of yellow. There are easily visible inclusions to some. There are fine scratches to the setting and back fitting.
