A Victorian sapphire and split seed pearl brooch, circa 1880. Of oval outline, the central oval-shape sapphire within a star setting to the blue enamel and split seed pearl surround. Unhallmarked. Length 2.2cms. Weight 4.8gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition. The sapphire has a strong blue hue. The pale blue enamel surround is chipped and nibbled. Minor blisters and blemishes can be seen to the pearls. Light tarnish, scratches and scuffs can be seen, in keeping with age. The brooch pin may have been replaced at some point.
