A mid 20th century sapphire and diamond single clip. Of geometric design, the calibre-cut sapphires to the openwork old European-cut surround with hinged clasp. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts, colour H-I, clarity SI2-P1. Unhallmarked. Length 3cms. Weight 9.9gms.

Condition Report
The overall condition is good to fair. There are surface scratches to the mount in keeping with general wear. The mount may have been repaired. The sapphires are not uniform in colour and range from a light cornflower blue hue to a dark intense blue. They have a good to moderate colour saturation and colour zoning is visible in some stones. The lower sapphires are not well aligned. The majority of the diamonds are lively and bright.
