An early to mid 20th century novelty brooch. Designed as an oval opal cabochon and circular-shape ruby spider within a wishbone outer surround. Stamped 9. Length 6cms. Weight 8.42gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition. The opal is in good condition, the white body colour displaying blues, greens and pinks. There is some abrasion to the facet edges of the ruby visible with magnification. There are significant areas of discolouration to the wishbone in keeping with the age of the piece, there are also overall slight scratches. The makers marks is worn in places. The back pin is metal.
