Lot Description

A late Victorian diamond bar brooch, circa 1880. The double heart motif and bow surmount set throughout with rose-cut diamonds to the plain bar and diamond terminations. Length 3.8cms. Unhallmarked. Weight 3gms.

The brooch is in overall good condition. The diamonds are bright and lively. All settings will need attention, to check the diamonds are secure. Soft solder can be seen to the back of the brooch in several areas.


The brooch pin and clasp are bent a little out of shape. The pin and clasp may be replacements.


Tarnish, scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear.
