A late 19th century sapphire and diamond brooch. Of foliate design, the circular-shape sapphire and old European-cut diamond curved line to the the similarly-cut diamond scrolling surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Unhallmarked. Length 3.2cms. Weight 4.7gms.

Condition Report
The overall condition is fair to good. The sapphires display a medium cornflower blue hue and there are nibbles to some facet edges. The diamonds are in fair condition with some abrasion. The mount shows signs of general wear with scratches to the surface. Some of the claws need some attention. The pin is possibly a replacement.
