Lot Description
Two early 20th century gem-set brooches. The first a 15ct gold brooch of triple bar design with an overlaid garnet cluster, AF, the second with a central split pearl to the circular raised surmount and coral shoulders. One with hallmarks for Chester, 1902. One unmarked. Weight of 15ct gold brooch 6.71gms.

Condition Report
Both brooches are in overall fair condition. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the triple bar brooch , the central floral panel appears to be damaged to the base, the garnet cluster has possibly been added at a later date. There is slight abrasion to the facet edges of the garnets visible with magnification, the back pin is metal and the hallmark a little rubbed. The other brooches has slight scratches to the metal ans areas of discolouration to the metal. The split pearl is in good condition and the coral is well matched. There are some scratches to the back, the back pin is metal, there is water damage to the inner back panel.
