Lot Description
Two diamond and gem-set brooches. The first designed as a bar brooch, the circular-shape garnet cabochon with inlaid old-cut diamond cluster star to the plain bar, the second of circular outline, the rose-cut diamonds to the foliate engraved surmount. Both unhallmarked . Total weight 9.58gms.

Condition Report
The brooches are in overall fair condition. The garnet cluster has been added to the bar brooch at a later date, the garnet is loose within the setting, the diamonds would benefit from a clean, there is visible lead solder to the base of the cluster. There are slight scratches to the bar. There are small scratches to the circular brooch and a small amount of damage to the outer surround, the back of the brooch appears to have been added at a later date. The rose cut diamonds are fairly bright.
