Lot Description

An early 20th century diamond and split seed pearl heart brooch. The old European-cut diamond within a split seed pearl heart surround to the cultured pearl surmount. Pearls untested. Unhallmarked. Length 4.3cms. Weight 3.8gms.

Condition Report

The brooch is in overall good condition. The diamond is bright and lively, estimated diamond weight 0.07ct. The split seed pearls are fairly well matched. They have a cream body colour with pale pink over tones. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, in keeping with age.

The heart panel appears to be a brighter yellow compared to the bar brooch.
