Lot Description

1930's silver christening mug in Art Deco style, the plain cup with dedication engraving and on flared footed base, with stepped detail to the handle.  Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1937.  Height measures 2 1/2 inches (6.5cm), weight 4.6 ozt (145 grams).

The cup displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and some tarnishing.  There are remnants of polish in some areas.  There are several small nicks in the metal, especially around the main rim, which is very slightly misshapen.  There is a dint to one side of the foot rim so that this is also slightly misshapen.  Hallmarks are clear and legible.
