Lot Description

Early 20th century silver baluster mug, engraved monogram and date to the main body and with acanthus leaf capped scroll handle, the whole standing on a spreading circular foot.  Hallmarked Barker Brothers Ltd., Chester 1926. Height including handle measures 4 1/4 inches (10.5cm), weight 7.28 ozt (226.5 grams).

The mug displays general wear and surface marks and scratches.  It is also quite tarnished.  There are some minor nicks and small dints in the metal and in particular one larger dint to the bulbous part of the main body.  The monogram reads 'GPA' with the date 21-1-56.  Hallmarks are clear, maker's mark slightly rubbed but still legible.
