A pair of late Victorian silver open salts of oval form, part vertically embossed, floral border, gadrooned rim and gilt interior. Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd London 1897. Gross weight 2.5 ozt (78 grams).

The open salts appear in good condition, displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hallmarks positioned to the underside are lightly rubbed, particularly the maker's marks. but easily legible.
