German sweet meat basket of oval open work form with swing handle, missing liner. Marked with the standard of 800 and the national crescent moon and crown mark, the maker possibly Lutz & Weiss. Maximum length measuring 5 inches (13 cm), weight 1.7 ozt (55 grams).

The basket displays general wear and a little tarnishing and there are light surface marks and scratches.  The metal is quite thin and there are some small dints and nicks in places.  There are a couple of splits in the metal around the base rim.  Marks are rubbed but still legible.
