Lot 346

Lot Description

A cased set of six silver teaspoons, each with gadrooned border to the stem, hallmarked A J Bailey Birmingham 1946;  together with a case containing seven assorted silver teaspoons, varying styles and dates.  Gross combined weight 4.15 ozt (129 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The set of spoons all display general wear and surface marks and scratches and are all quite tarnished.  The spoon bowls on each display more wear towards the tips and the metal feels thinner in this area.  There is some slight loss of detail to the gadrooned borders.  The hallmarks on each are legible.  The other assorted spoons are in similar condition although not as tarnished.  One of the spoons appears to be Georgian, the hallmarks on this spoon are now worn and illegible.
