Lot Description

A mother of pearl paper knife with silver plated mount and oblique carved handle, the length measuring 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm). Together with an early twentieth century silver handled button hook and a silver plated butter knife. (3).

All items display general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor nibbles visible to the mother of pearl, and a larger chip to the very tip of the blade. The handle and blade to the butter knife have become separated and no longer sit flush. Splits visible down the seam of the button hook handle, the hallmarks to the button hook are rubbed but legible reading Birmingham 1913 and made by E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley).
