Lot Description

Victorian silver mounted bedside clock of scrolling horseshoe form embossed in high relief surrounding the silvered dial with conforming scroll engraving, black Arabic numerals, outer red minute markers, blued steel hands and key wind movement.  Hallmarked London 1888. Height measuring 5 inches (12.5 cm).

Clock displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  Some wear to the embossed decoration and also to some of the arabic numerals on the dial.  Hallmarks to the front are clear and legible.  Circular silver mount on the reverse is very tarnished, as is the silver stand.  Both struck with part hallmarks, which are legible.  Material backing is very worn and deteriorated.
