Lot 393

Lot Description

Victorian silver mounted glass hip flask with detachable cup and engraved monogram. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co (Sampson Mordan II) London 1882. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm). Lid at fault.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The hip flask displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints visible over the body, heavy dents to the corners. Large obvious dent to the lid - causing the lid to be fixed closed, this would require attention. Gilding the interior of the cup appears bright with minimal discolouration. The hallmarks to both parts are clear and legible.
