Lot Description
A rectangular card case, stamped sterling and possibly American, decorated in low relief to both sides with scrolling foliage within formalised borders, also with a bright cut engraved diagonal central panel, with hinged lid and fitted with two suspension loops and connecting chain. Measuring 9cm by 6cm, weight 53.8 grams.

Condition Report
The case displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. There is some wear to the decoration, especially around the edges. There are also numerous small dints around the edge and especially to the top of the lid. There is also a larger dint to the centre of one of the rectangular panels. Hinged lid is in good working order. There are contact marks to the inner rim. It is stamped 'sterling' to the inner rim and also the number 8.
