Lot Description

Victorian small silver sauce boat with high arch scrolling handle, frilled rim and raised above three shell mounted hoof feet, hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes Birmingham 1894, height including handle 3 1/4 inches (8 cm). Together with a 1930's silver pepper, hallmarked Birmingham 1934. Gross combined weight 4.1 ozt (127 grams).

Both items display noticeable scratches, marks and heavy tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous shallow dents visible to the sauce boat and one leg appears bent. The pepper displays some heavy wear in particular a dent to the body and finial. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
